Former A&M-Commerce Golfer Manages PGA Tour’s Multicultural Marketing Strategy
A recent article at firsttee.org follows the amazing journey of A&M-Commerce alum Sara Diaz. Diaz learned to play golf through First Tee, a youth development organization that uses golf as a means to provide experiential learning opportunities to young people. In 2008, Diaz qualified for the prestigious Wal-Mart First Tee Open in Pebble Beach, California. In 2010, she was selected as a junior reporter at the WGC-CA Championship where she worked in the PGA Tour's media center. The same year, she appeared in a commercial for the Royal Bank of Scotland with golf great Jack Nicklaus. In 2019, she accepted a job with PGA Tour where she manages the company's multicultural marketing strategy. Diaz graduated from A&M-Commerce in 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. She played on the A&M-Commerce golf team from 2010 to 2013. Read the full article.
